Bangladeshi-origin Eliza Rahman has been elected as the deputy mayor of Camden Council in Australia, making history by becoming the first Bangladeshi woman to hold the position in Australia.
Eliza Azad was elected Deputy Mayor by direct vote of councilors at a general meeting held at the Camden City Council Chambers on Tuesday night (September 8).
